chevrons-upEvolutions

Most monster-collecting games have some form of evolution included, so here you can add references to a creature that the currently selected creature can turn into via different methods.

Target Species is what the selected creature will turn into.

Required Level is the level needed for the system to start checking whether the creature can evolve or not. Run the Check Evolution instruction whenever you want the creature to be able to evolve! Initially I hard-coded the check, but have since switched it to a manual instruction to check, so you can choose if you want creatures to evolve during battle or any other time. Use the Check Evolution instruction in tandem with the On Try Evolve trigger to trigger evolutions!

Item can be left blank unless you want a specific Item to be necessary for evolution. Below it is the Item Usage, which allows you to select when the item will affect the creature, on Use, or on Hold. Internally, the system will check these settings when Check Evolution is run.

Conditions allows you to apply even more specific conditions to your evolutions, for example, Time of Day = Night. These will also be taken into account when running Check Evolution.
